A new dawn, a new day. Delphine's pawsteps were the only sound to be heard in the halls of the typically vacant third floor. Her paws were clasped behind her back, fingers rubbing at her palms, her wrists, her knuckles, in thought. There hadn't been any new Henches in... goodness only knows how long. Macavity was bound to be getting impatient, if he didn't already have a plan. She sighed. She'd have to ask him about it later. She wished he wouldn't be so secretive around her, it made things so much more difficult.
As she climbed down the stairs and got closer to the entrance, new sounds joined her pawsteps. Muffled voices from behind walls, raucous laughter of Henches returning from nights out on the town, grunting and panting from what she could only assume was a certain vigorous physical activity. The sounds of her family. She stepped out of the Warehouse and made it to the gate just in time for the sunrise. All these years, and she still made sure to catch a glimpse of the sunrise whenever she could. But soon enough, the solitude was too much for her. She didn't very much enjoy being alone with her thoughts. Her blue eyes scanned the area for any Hench coming her way.

George had been on the hunt during the night. Searching for his next target. He had stayed up all night, safely secured in the back corner of a local pub, sipping at his single beer throughout the night, while quietly studying the patrons of the joint. And while there were highlights during the evening that amused him for the night, none of the cats there had impressed him. And George was in the mood to be impressed. It had been a while since his mood demanded him to find a challenging individual for a more interesting fight at the end of his hunt.
However, he could sense that daybreak was near and had slipped out of the pub unnoticed. And though sunlight didn't really affect him, he still felt uncomfortable outside during the day. He much preferred the night and was way more active during such time. Heading back to the warehouse, he managed to make it there just as the sun was rising. Seeing Delphine up ahead, he gave her a stern look. "And what is the great Delphine up to this morning?" His eyes and emotions revealed nothing, aside from mild curiosity (if anything), in her direction.

She perked at the sight of an approaching Hench. George, he would do quite nicely. A Hench who refused to 'crack', so to speak, under her friendship. It wasn't a rare occurrence, not with such naturally solitary creatures, but it was frustrating to her. Still, the colorpoint aimed a smile at him as he approached, despite his rather stern expression. "'Great', am I? A compliment from the likes of you? I'm flattered, George."
Her blue eyes searched the horizon as she thought. If George was just now coming back home, he must have been out all night. So he must have fed, or intended to feed. "Probably gonna go hunting, but who knows? I'd probably have to go outside the city, considering the hour, if I want to avoid trouble. But what do you think?" She'd found, throughout the centuries, that felines and Vampires alike would like somebody much more if they were asked for help from them.

George put a paw to his chest, dismayed. Or at least acting that way. "Why Delph...You act like I've never complimented you before. Really." He shook his head, almost simulating the act of being disappointed in her. "We've lived how long? There's no reason why I wouldn't be nice to you." Walking up to be beside Delphine, he looked out at the horizon, seeing the first rays of the sunlight coming up. His inner body cringed at the sight, but he kept his attention on Delphine. He could admit that he had been nice to her on several occasions and every other emotion too. Always when he needed something or wanted to provoke a certain emotion in her. However, he was rather tired at the moment so for once he wasn't aiming for anything.
He nodded. "Trouble is challenging and fun. I also think that you are a stubborn creature and can and will do what you want. Or is this your secret way of asking to go hunting together?" George couldn't help himself. It wasn't meant as a flirt, but hunting with a partner could be fun and intimate in certain settings.
